Light and dark
Sky and sea
Earth and vegetation
Sun and moon and stars
Fish and birds
And it was all so good! (For the full text read Genesis 1:3-31)
With a word God spoke everything into existence. Space. Time. Matter. All of it. Everything. John, a friend and follower of Jesus, places Jesus (the Logos – the word) there at the beginning…
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5
Today, where do you need ‘God-light’ to break into darkness?
You reflect God’s nature: God’s character to those around you. You were made in His image. Today how will you reflect this image to others?
What will you do? What will you say? How will you demonstrate the goodness of God to friends and family, strangers and colleagues?
