The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. Genesis 2:1-17
“God created men and women to work and to take care of the garden. Work is not a consequence of sin. We would be expected to work even if the fall had never occurred. Work is our Godlike activity. We are imitating God when we work. God didn’t create a static world. God didn’t put human beings in the Garden of Eden and say, “Now, don’t break anything!” He actually wanted us to tend it; to work it; to improve upon it.” –Rich Nathan
Today, is Saturday, you may be at work, you may be at rest. How are you making the most of both?
Where do you need to get the right balance between work and rest? When you are not working, are you present, really present with friends or family?
Ask, God the Father who is always at work, to help you work to your best, to not be a slave to work but to worship Him through your work.
